Memacin Advanced Memory Complex

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)

  • ALA is a fatty acid found naturally in the body and helps convert the food we eat into energy.
  • A vitamin-like antioxidant sometimes referred to as the "universal antioxidant" because it is soluble in both fat and water.
  • ALA has an unusually broad spectrum of antioxidant action, and also appears to facilitate recycling of other important biologic antioxidants, such as Vitamins C and E.

Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALC)

  • ALC is a natural nutrient recognized as a powerful cognition enhancer.
  • Also considered to be an important anti-aging complex that has shown success in helping to combat depression in aging adults.
  • It may assist in the conversion of choline into acetylcholine, one of the body's key brain chemicals.
  • More digestible than unesterified L-carnitine, and is able to rapidly enter the circulatory system and improve transport efficiency.

DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid)

  • Fish is known as 'brain food' and is a rich source of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). DHA belongs to the class of nutrients called Omega-3 essential fatty acids which are found mostly in the brain.
  • The omega-3 fatty acids are an integral part of the structure and function of the brain.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids also appear to influence the brain chemicals involved in mood and overall mental well-being.
  • DHA is also found in the retina of the eyes and is vital to maintaining healthy vision.
  • Supplementation with DHA can help assure adequate amounts to support normal brain and retina function.

Glycerophosphocholine (GPC)

  • GPC is naturally present in all of the body's cells. Its importance to life and safety as a supplement are evidenced by its substantial presence in human breast milk.
  • GPC works by augmenting acetylcholine deficits and enables the body to manufacture new acetylcholine.
  • Acetylcholine is a key brain chemical that plays a key role in basically every cognitive function. Declining levels of this neurotransmitter coincide with advancing age, and is a hallmark of the neurodegeneration seen in cognitive decline and many of the most prevalent dementias.

Phosphatidylserine (PS)

  • PS is the major phospholipid found within the cell membranes within the nerve cells in the brain.
  • Aging causes a decline in the PS content of cells through the body.
  • Phospholipids are a constituent of the neuron's outer covering, or sheath. These neurons aid in the communication between brain cells.
  • The results of 25 human studies showed conclusively that PS improves neural function, and enhances energy metabolism, memory, concentration, learning, and word choice.
  • Since PS is necessary for effective neurotransmission, a PS deficiency is linked to mental impairment among older adults. A younger population may also benefit from phosphatidylserine's effect that combats stress and sharpens mental faculties.

Memacin Anti-Aging & Vision Formula

Blueberry Extract

  • Rated highest by researchers in antioxidant capacity to destroy free radicals.
  • Scientists have discovered mechanisms to explain how blueberries can promote memory and restore healthy neuronal function in aged brains.
  • Blueberries also help maintain healthy blood flow.

Pomegranate Extract

  • Pomegranate has been a staple of Asian diets since ancient times.
  • Contemporary science has rediscovered the pomegranate's effectiveness in preventing a variety of potentially deadly diseases.
  • Pomegranates contain powerful antioxidants that promote heart and blood pressure health. In addition, pomegranate extract has demonstrated strong immune-benefiting properties.
  • One of the active constituents in pomegranate extract is Ellagic acid. Ellagic acid is a detoxifying agent and has demonstrated DNA-protecting properties.

Coenzyme Q-10

  • Coenzyme Q-10 (CoQ10) is a powerful antioxidant and a natural substance found in every cell in the body.
  • CoQ plays a fundamental role in the mitochondria, the parts of the cell that produce energy from food. CoQ10 is essential for energy production in the body's cells, especially the heart.
  • Levels of CoQ10 drop with age and are lower in people with heart disease.
  • The benefits of CoQ for Anti-Aging and Heart health are well documented, and CoQ is an established and frequently prescribed drug in Asia and Europe for heart conditions.

Lutein

  • Lutein acts as a powerful antioxidant that neutralizes harmful free radicals which can damage cells, particularly the sensitive cells of the eyes.
  • Lutein is the primary carotenoid found in the central area of the retina of the eye called the macula, which is the part used for sharp vision.
  • Lutein is associated with protection for age-related macular degeneration (the leading cause of blindness in older adults).
